Yujun Ichikawa, Founder & Managing Director, spent nearly 17 years at the Government of Western Australia’s Japan office, promoting Japanese investment in Western Australia, trade and business collaboration.

His work brought together companies, government agencies and industry organisations across resources, energy, technology and other sectors. It combined stakeholder research and introductions with commercial discussions, visits, exhibitions and sustained relationship management.

He has facilitated engagement among companies, investors, public agencies and research institutions, supporting discussions on investment, trade, technology collaboration and potential long-term business partnerships.

He established Bedrock Partners Japan in 2026 as an independent business development consultancy. Bedrock supports international businesses entering and expanding in Japan, as well as Japanese companies seeking overseas customers, suppliers and strategic partners. Each engagement is led directly by the founder, combining sector knowledge, established networks and hands-on execution from initial research and outreach through meetings and ongoing follow-up.
