Personal Information Protection
Effective: 2 November 2026
Bedrock Partners Japan G.K. (“Bedrock”) adopts this policy for personal information handled in international business development, Japan market entry, business introductions, and sourcing and trade support.
1. Information and purposes
Bedrock collects names, employers, job titles, business contact details, enquiries, and meeting and correspondence records through lawful and fair means. Information is used to answer enquiries; propose and deliver services; administer contracts and invoices; conduct market research and interviews; contact prospective partners; coordinate meetings, visits and exhibitions; and follow up on those activities. Without necessary information, Bedrock may be unable to respond or provide a service.
2. Business introductions and third parties
Introductions and meeting arrangements may involve sharing names, organisations, roles and contact details with clients or potential partners in Japan or overseas. Bedrock confirms the recipients, purpose and scope and obtains consent where required, unless disclosure is otherwise permitted by law. Publishing this policy or submitting an enquiry does not constitute blanket consent to third-party disclosure.
3. Service providers and overseas handling
Bedrock uses Wix for its website and enquiry forms and Google Workspace for business email and related services. When using service providers or contractors, Bedrock reviews relevant handling terms and safeguards and exercises appropriate supervision. International collaboration and external services may involve information being handled outside Japan. Where this constitutes provision to a third party in a foreign country, Bedrock follows applicable requirements for information, consent or the continued implementation of equivalent safeguards.
4. Security and retention
Bedrock seeks to prevent unauthorised access, loss, alteration and disclosure through access restrictions appropriate to business needs, account and device management, and suitable sharing methods. Information is retained for the purposes of use and applicable legal or contractual requirements, then appropriately deleted or disposed of when no longer needed.
5. Entrusted and confidential information
Client contact lists, meeting materials and other entrusted information are handled within the agreed assignment and contractual terms. Please do not submit sensitive personal information or third-party confidential information through the enquiry form. Discuss appropriate sharing arrangements and confidentiality terms before sending confidential materials.
6. Website information
Hosting and other service providers may process IP addresses, browser information, access logs and cookies to operate and protect the website and prevent misuse. Browser settings can control cookies, although some functionality may be affected. Appropriate notices and consent procedures will be provided if additional analytics or advertising features are introduced.
7. Requests and enquiries
